When Viva was a freshman in college, a producer saw a 10-minute play she wrote and hired her to put a “youthful spin” on a musical comedy film produced by John Malkovich and Billy Joel. She’s been writing comedy with old white men ever since. Viva tours the country doing stand-up, is a paid regular with Don’t Tell Comedy, and a house team improvisor with the Upright Citizens Brigade and The Pack Theater in Los Angeles. Recent stand-up comedy festivals include Rise Comedy Festival (Denver, CO), Lysistrata Comedy Festival (Austin, TX) and Portland Maine Comedy Festival (Portland, ME).
