The award-winning standup comedy TV show and Vegas live show blazes new trails with their biggest project yet, the Laugh After Dark ComedyFest happening in the Las Vegas Arts District Oct 3-5, 2022.
Las Vegas, NV: Laugh After Dark, the award-winning stand-up comedy TV show on Amazon Prime and Tubi is partnering with the Arts District to welcome guests, comedians, filmmakers, and industry to Vegas for 3 days of laughter. Partners include MedMen, Makers & Finders, Cornish Pasty Co., Tacotarian, The English Hotel, Crafthaus Brewery, the Vegas Theatre Co., 18 Bin, Art Houz Theater, and more.
Laugh After Dark has always been known for 2 things: fabulous live shows featuring the best rising stars in standup as well as their own band, The Fremont Funk, and beautifully capturing the experience of being there on their tv show. The ComedyFest promises to deliver on both of those. Each day of the festival will feature comedy film screenings, standup comedy showcases, comedy specials with live studio audiences, a world premiere screening event, and an awards ceremony.
ComedyFest is a celebration of all things comedy and is bringing together many of the various arms of the industry from across the country, including comedians, producers, directors, bookers, distributors, talent agents, and beyond. The purpose of the festival is to create quality opportunities for recognition, education, networking, and feedback within the industry.
“This is a really big moment for us,” says Kelsey Borlan, Director of Laugh After Dark. “Comedy is in the middle of a major resurgence, and thanks to the support and talent within our community, we have grown exponentially since opening our live show on Fremont last year. As locals ourselves, we could not think of a better place to welcome and host our ComedyFest guests than the Arts District.”
ComedyFest is coming hot off the heels of Laugh After Dark’s Summer of Specials Filming Tour where they filmed several of the hottest up-and-coming comedians including Vegas’ own, Jozalyn Sharp and Stoner Rob. One of the flagship events of the festival will be the world premiere of Kalea McNeill’s debut standup special entitled Sma’am which was filmed on tour and featured in the LA Times.
The Laugh After Dark ComedyFest is bringing live comedy and production to the Vegas Arts District and promising guests a comedy entertainment experience unlike any other. For tickets and more information about the festival please visit www.laughafterdarkcomedyfest.com.
